Spoilers

Marvel Comics and Amazing Spider-Man #55 Spoilers and Review follows.

Last Rites Finale With Kindred, Green Goblin and Mary Jane Watson’s Fate?!

The book has a few more variant covers on top of the above.

Plus the main cover.

Harry Osborn aka Kindred does some arm chair psychiatry hypothesizing why there are some many “spider” based heroes and heroines now (seeming all in the Order of the Web now)…

…because Peter Parker was an orphan and is compensating for that as an adult.

While Kindred has them all trapped, Mary Jane Watson remains the prize to be captured, but she’s working with Norman Osborn aka Green Goblin and Harry’s father; but is the elder Osborn friend or foe? Has MJ been duped?

She willingly gets into the mix and Spider-Man slips his bonds and attacks Kindred insisting he stay away from her.

Kindred is made up of the maggots, bugs or whatever those things are and responds in kind to Spider-man, but…

…MJ stops them and agrees to Harry’s request for a dinner.

MJ, Peter and Harry have dinner, not like old times, but it turns into an airing of the grievances by Harry in the spirit of Festivus, but more deadly serious.

Green Goblin enters the picture and confronts his son Kindred and…

…attacks MJ?!

That leads to Kingpin also joining the party as it were with MJ’s fate a question mark.

Your Last Rites checklist shows one event is done as he head into an arc with the Green Goblin and Kingpin as allies.

The Kingpin’s arrival shiouldn’t have been a surprise considering he was a pig part of Daredevil’s Last Rites arc in Daredevil #283-300 and Annual #7 in 1992.

The Pulse:

An action-packed, dramatic and fast-paced end to a hyped arc. Decent art. Interesting cliffhanger. 7 out of 10.
