What Is Post X Of Swords Fallout For (A Dead?) Captain Britain and Captain Avalon During Reign Of X?

We open with a dramatis personae and creators credits splash page.

Excalibur heads to Avalon, after X-Factor concludes their investigation as inconclusive, to search for their teammate Betsy Braddock aka Captain Britain who appeared to die during the X of Swords event.

They encounter her brothers the mad king Jamie Braddock and  the former Captain Britain and now Captain Avalon Brian Braddock along with his wife Meggan and their daughter Maggie.

Meggan remains a bit mystical with her powers having grown in Avalon.

She will head out with Excalibur to find Betsy.

After they leave, the mad king takes Mister Sinister’s cape and…

…returns it to him in exchange for a clone of Betsy for some unknown purpose.

Elsewhere, Meggan and the team…

…share or connect their mutant powers through her sorcery and…

…while they didn’t find Betsy directly, the book ends with the…

…the revelation she is alive, a Queen and is lovers with Warren Worthington III aka Angel of the X-Men?!

The Pulse:
