Abbott ’73 – I recently read the trade to the first Abbott series, and I really liked it. Saladin Ahmed and Sami Kivela told a great story about a black journalist who got wrapped up in a supernatural story. I’m happy to see this title return, especially given how much both creators have grown over the last couple of years.
I Breathed A Body – Zac Thompson’s Lonely Receiver just ended, and it’s already time for another creepy foray into body horror. I’ll bite.
Rain Like Hammers – I’m excited to see a new Brandon Graham comic. His stuff is always wild – stuffed with sight gags and puns, while telling a story that could be linear, or could be free associating. Graham is always great, so I’m down for it.
I’m also looking forward to new issues of Barbalien: Red Planet, Cable, Legion of Super-Heroes, Once & Future, Rorschach, Scumbag, Seven to Eternity, Star Wars: Doctor Aphra, Stillwater, and X-Force.
