DC Comics and DC Future State: Dark Detective #2 Spoilers and Review follows.
Red Hood Tangles With Vigilante, Ravager and…
…Someone In Joker’s OG Red Hood Costume?
The opening story focusing on a grizzled Bruce Wayne, once thought dead as Batman, was mediocre at best, but…
…the back-up story featuring Jason Todd Red Hood was a bit more interesting.
He hunts “masks” for the Peacekeepers including a new Vigilante.
His next mission is to locate someone wearing the OG Red Hood costume that Joker had worn.
In his search efforts, Deathstroke’s daughter Rose Wilson Ravager finds him.
He leaves her to find this other Red Hood who…
…he tracks down.
Jason Todd wants to help him, but Rose Wilson filets him instead!
Turns it was a “nobody” under the high-tech hood.
The book ends with Red Hood and Ravager tracking down the high-tech source of the deceased Red Hood as Jason Todd becomes the hunted for some reason.
The Pulse:
The back-up story’s art was not to my liking, a bit too cartoony for the story and characters, but I found the yarn intriguing. Liked the Vigilante, Ravager and more appearances. A fun read. That back-up tale gets a 7 out of 10. If you’re interested, while the art was good in the opening story, the tale itself was not enthralling for me. So that story gets a 3 out of 10.
