Ultraman’s New Secret Origin Contrasted With Superman’s?!
This follows the main story that saw the Crime Syndicate taken control of by Starro (full spoilers here).
The back-up story, we see Ultraman as a baby jettisoned from his dying world by his deceitful parents.
They are found by a gullible couple who take him in.
When they reveal his secret origin he rebels and is enraged for them lying to him all these years.
The book ends with Ultraman (um, Ultraboy) leaving his Earth 3 family with his space shuttle.
Next up is Crime Syndicate #2 in stores on April 6 / 7, 2021.
I thought this was a nice retelling of Superman’s origin with an Earth 3 lens.
