Marvel Comics and The Union #3 Spoilers and Review follows.

Britannia Project Sees…

More Surprise Debuts…

… A Kidnapping and…

…Betrayal!

Selwyn, a representative of the government, won’t take Union Jack’s “no” to training new U.K. super-heroes so…

…he send the Bulldog in for…

…the classic hero-on-hero fight.

They head to Choir’s motorhome to find it destroyed and…

…surveilled by…

…a shape-shifter…

…of small and big animals.

It changes to a gorilla and grab’s the Union’s team member Snakes and everyone discovers his name is literal.

The shape-shifter is revealed and somehow coaxed by Selwyn into the car, but everyone sees a hostage situtation.

Turns out Selwyn was a one-time super-powered person (villain it appears)  called the Sponge with the power of suggestion so some such and the ability drain others’ powers.

This situation ends with a…

…a seeming suicide that was a really a homicide.

The book ends with the Choir captive.

The Pulse:

Solid art and fast-paced story. The intrigue around Selwyn is compelling. Was hoping for Union super-heroics though. 6.5 out of 10.
