DC Comics and Detective Comics #1034 Spoilers and Review follows.

A New More Humble Status Quo For Bruce Wayne, But What Of Batman?

There’s More Here Than Hyped Robin Back-Up!

Former police officer and now Mayor Christopher Nakano of Gotham City has his “vision” luncheon disrupted by…

…the Joker War party crashers.

That leads to Batman…

…securing the scene because the GCPD and event security were not able to;  an interesting development for an anti-vigilante, anti-mask Mayor.

We then see Batman is making his next Batcave in Gothm City’s sewers as all of his wealth is elsewhere.

We then see the brownstone Bruce Wayne now resides in and has a neighborhood get-together.

The book ends with his neighbor seemingly kidnapped or killed, but definitely no longer in the neighborhood.

There’s also a Robin back-up for the issue (full spoilers here).

The Pulse:

A really compelling primary story. The “detective” or mystery elements are pronounced. Great art. Back-up story was solid on story and art. This whole issue may well be the best issue so far in Infinite Frontier. 9.5 out of 10.
