DC Comics and Superman: Red and Blue #1 Spoilers follows.
A Sequel…
…51 Years In The Making?!
Plus A Lot More!
There’s quite a few stories here, but I’m going to focus on…
…the first one by The Next Batman scribe John Ridley and penciled by Clayton Henry.
It is a sequel to 1970’s World’s Finest #192 and #193.
A story where a de-powers Superman and Batman…
…are prisoner’s of Colonel Koslov of Lubania.
As you can imagine…
…the good guys escape and win…
…despite a convoluted 1970’s plot include World’s Finest doppelgängers.
Anyhow, in 2021, Superman as Clark Kent…
Reminisces about that “adventure” and…
…we learn what fate befell Koslov after the Iron Curtain fell.
He is a remorseless wealthy businessman know having “paid for his sins” from his time in his own concentration camp; that’s how the 1970’s adventure ended as per the early panel above.
Superman: Red and Blue looks to be a fun new anthology series and writer John Ridley is clearly a student of DC Comics history in all of his recent DC work including The Other History of the DC Universe for DC Black Label.
