Plus a main cover and…

…even a second print.

We open with the creators’ credits page.

Thirty year old aspiring, but yet successful writer Nathan Burnett moved back home and a term of living there for as long as he needs is finding a job of any kind.

Later he wakes up due to the Radiant Black energy orb…

…just in time to be greeted by the cops he saved last issue when he found the orb and super-powered him.

They’ll keep his secret, even telling his mom they are there to thank him for a selfless act, but they really want him to do good as a super-hero and note that there is a villain that looks like him robbing banks just in a red costume.

Nathan gets that Drivr job which is a ride share deal.

Later, he powers up…

…to take on Radiant Red and he is out matched, but…

…he’s able to liberate the bank heist monies from Radiant Red.

Despite big temptation, he returns the monies to the cops after Radiant Red escaped.

The book ends on a promising note as Nathan’s dad supports him continuing to try to be published author, but…

…is pleased that day one netted Jason $200.

Next up is Radiant Black #3 on shelves on April 21, 2021.

The Pulse:

What a fun issue from front to end; almost 30 pages worth. So, lots of value in this $3.99 comic book from writer Kyle Higgins and artist Marcello Costa. Compelling characters, relatable family situation, pretty cool super-heroics. Pretty engaging issue. Nathan is so likable and you want to root for him. The mystery of Radiant Red and even the Radiant Black orb serves as nice ongoing intrigue. I’ll be back next month. What a great creative effort by all involved. Bravo. 9 out of 10.
