The Pulse:
I’m not sure what to make of this series now that it’s over. I like that Marvel tried to launch a net new concept for a super-team not a derivative one like X-Men: UK or Avengers: Europe or Excalibur II. That said, tying it first to Empyre then King In Black gave the series a sense of relevance that didn’t last long. The overall story was so-so, but the characters were compelling. The art was so-so, but any book that has Union Jack can’t be all bad. In the end, I was entertained, but not wow’d. 6 out of 10.
