The book opens with a three pages (1, 2 and 3) of events of Batman: The Killing Joke from 1988 that was given away for free before the issue hit stands to whet readers’ appetites plus a fourth page (4)  before James Gordon heads over to Belize…

…on the hunt for the Joker in the employ of his mysterious benefactor.

He has a special cellphone that his daughter Barbara Gordon aka Oracle gave him so she can monitor him and ensure his safety.

She’s also deployed the Batgirls as she tries to figure out who the elder Gordon’s benefactor is.

The elder Gordon lands in Belize and through networking, schmoozing and socializing with the locals…

…unexpectedly tracks down the Joker ahead of schedule!

At the same time Vengeance, Bane’s daughter, looks to attack Joker’s compound to avenge her father’s death at the Joker’s hands.

Now, Jim Gordon has to pick a side in this fight?!

There’s also a back-up story featuring Punchline in prison and Bluebird on the outside…

…the latter gets poisoned by a fan of Punchline?!

Another fast-paced, action-packed, intrigue-laden issue from front to back, main and back-up story, with solid art to boot. Entertaining. 8 out of 10.
