DC Comics and Batman: The Detective #2 Spoilers and Review follows.

Who Is Hunter & Who Is Prey?

White Batmen Continue Killing People Batman Saved!

The book opens with Batman…

…interrogating one of the White Batmen that he was able to capture last issue as the rest escaped.

He doesn’t learn much as the rope breaks and the white Batman falls…

…escaping all according to plan!

The female leader of the white Batmen is stunned this one escaped the Batman and she has him stripped down and…

…through some cutting edge technology finds Batman’s tracker inside him!

She executes him as he believes that he supposed to die, but didn’t because of Batman.

Batman follows the tracker to Rue Oberkampf in Paris, France, but…

…not before he meets up with Henri Ducard; a scene that seems odd since it ends with them agreeing to meet in Paris where he wants money for help.

Henri Ducard is a cad Batman knows and who trained him.

Ducard will help Batman with his white Batmen problem for money, but won’t tell the world’s greatest detective where he lives since he should be able to figure it out.

At Rue Oberkampf he finds the white Batman dead and its not clear if the Batman tracker is inside him; this seems like a relevant point since Batman will be calling the police anonymously about this murder scene.

Henri Ducard is greeted by a Batman, but…

…its the Batwoman that leads the white Batmen.

She thinks he’s digging to deep into her and her organization and because he was saved by Batman he should die too for “equilibrium”.

Ducard seems to have learned about her motivations and puts up a decent fight as the real Batman arrives and…

…Ducard is seemingly killed to allow the white Batmen to escapes as Batman tries to save his “friend”.

The Pulse:

Another dark yet intrigue issue. The mystery and action are well balanced. The characters are compelling and the art is great. A very satisfying and entertaining read. 9 out of 10.
