Marvel Comics and Heroes Reborn #4 Spoilers and Review follows.

Reality Twisting Villain Revealed As Things Get Cosmic In A World Without Avengers!

The book has a few more variant covers in addition to the above.

Plus the main cover.

We get a Doctor Spectrum aka Joseph Ledger spotlight as well as a creators’ credits page rolled in one to open the book.

Looks like Rocket Raccoon and Groot have been hired to take out Doctor Spectrum by…

…a blinded Watcher / Quasar amalgam.

We then see the power of Doctor Spectrum who singlehandedly (pun intended) takes down Thanos and his infinity gems.

Then Rocket attacks weaponizing Groot.

The Groots are destroyed and Rocket then wields the power of the Starbrand?!

This Starbrand is defeated by Doctor Spectrum weaponizing the Cancerverse against him.

That leaves kid Starbrand to mourn Rocket with Groot.

The opening story ends with Doctor Spectrum with U.S. President Phil Coulson sharing a debrief in…

…the Church of Mephisto!

The back-up tale reveals the bond between Groot and kid Starbrand.

The kid is older now, but still very powerful.

She is still allied with Groot as…

…as they’re confronted by Wakanda’s spacefaring ship!

The Pulse:

This doesn’t feel like an event series, but a series of spotlight issues of the Squadron Supreme of America. The much smaller back-up stories seem to be where the event climax is building though. The art in main story was not to my taste at all. The back-up art was a much cleaner and fun style making for a jarring transition between stories. The weakest issue thus far. 4 out of 10 on the strength of those last four pages.
