DC Comics and Batman / Catwoman #5 Spoilers and Review follows.
Phantasm…
…Harley Quinn and…
…The Shadow Of The Joker!
We continue to have the story be told in a least three different time frames.
In one of them, Phantasm and Catwoman are feeling out how to interact with one another.
In the far future, Harley Quinn plans to kill Catwoman…
…avenging the Joker’s death.
It is a slugfest that Catwoman gets the upperhand in.
In another timeframe set in the past Catwoman is inebriated while in the present, I presume, she and Phantasm…
…interrogate a one-time henchman or ally of Joker who admits…
…that he tested his various gases on people.
Inebriated Catwoman is picked up by Batman from a museum she fell into quite literally.
The book ends with Phantasm and Catwoman discussing which one is more psychotic…
…as in the far future Batman and Catwoman’s daughter Batwoman confronts her mom over the bound Harley Quinn in their home.
The Pulse:
Great art and compelling character interactions, but jarring transitions between timeframes. 7 out of 10.
