Marvel Comics and X-Men Legends #4 Spoilers and Review follows.
Apocalypse Vs. X-Factor…
…With Archangel and Hodge…
…As Pawns!
A bit of a storyline catch-up, dramatis personae and creators credits page to kick us off.
Then we see Cameron Hodge in command of a robotic behemoth…
…attacking X-Factor at Apocalypse’s behest.
It’s a game of keep-away with baby Christopher, Hodge is able to grab him.
As Apocalypse looks on, Archangel pleads.
It falls on deaf ears, but Archangel frees himself as Beast swipes baby Christopher.
Hodge is defeated and he and his armor are transported back to Apocalypse.
Hodge departs as…
…the Celestials arrive…
…to tangle with X-Factor.
The story continues in 1989’s X-Factor #43.
Next up is X-Men Legends #5 out on July 21, 2021 and a different X-Factor era.
The Pulse:
While I am huge fan of Walter Simonson, particularly his iconic Thor run, this iteration of X-Factor predates my era of X-Factor which gets covered next month. Decent art, but a rather inaccessible story that felt at times some pages and panels were filler or unnecessary. 4 out of 10.
