Batman DC Comic Books Inside Pulse

DC considers itself to be the pioneer when it comes to animosity comic books around the world. Here are some of the editions of DC that can teach you a lot about how essential it is to preserve the rights of animals.

Superman: Return to Krypton (2004)

Superman is among the most popular superheroes in the whole world. His association with animals is reflected in the beautiful relation that he shares with his pet dog, Krypto. It is in this edition where he meets Krypto for the first time. Superman is not human. The reason for his superpowers is that he is an alien from the planet of Krypton who gains supernatural abilities through the consumption of solar energy. Krypto is also from the planet of Krypton. Time and again, the unbreakable bond existing between them has been depicted in the most wonderful ways and this edition is the starting point of their journey together. It is like they love each other more than they love their own selves. The faithfulness, the sense of commitment and the mutual respect is perfectly reflected in how they battle evil together.

Batman #92 (1955)

Batman, a.k.a., the dark knight, is actually Bruce Wayne, an industrialist, moonlighting as a crime-fighting vigilante in the corrupt city of Gotham. Bruce is actually fearful of bats from a tender age. It was this very reason why he decided to design his identity with bats as the main inspiration. He wanted to induce the same kind of fear in his enemies that he himself used to feel at the sight of a bat. Batman is also featured in many other comics with animal characters. It is not just the costume he wears or the name he uses. Batman #92 is a classic edition where Batman meets Ace for the first time. Ace, a German Shepherd, who was originally owned by somebody else but got abandoned due to some unfortunate circumstances. Bruce, being an orphan himself, could personally relate to Ace. He adopted Ace and gave him a home. It is a vivid portrayal of how a dog is emotionally impacted by who it stays with.

Aquaman #6 (1993)

This is an awesome animal graphic novel. This is a classic issue of the franchise. It depicts Aquaman fighting against his nemesis, Black Manta, who is a pirate on a quest to conquer the sea. Aquaman is actually the prince of the ancient civilization of Atlantis. He is often portrayed in the company of aquatic animals. Some episodes are quite informative and can be considered even educational. Of course not as much as in the essays on animal testing but enough to watch them with an excuse that you are not wasting your time but are in fact studying.  Besides some info about aquatic animals, in this edition of the series, the story tells us about the resentment that Black Manta holds against creatures of the sea. Aquaman fights against him to protect the creatures from his wrath.

Some fans consider it one of the funny animal comic books. Aquaman has an octopus called Topo who often assists him in his fights against evil forces. In fact, Topo is his favourite pet. Besides him, Aquaman also has a seahorse that he rides underwater to traverse long distances in short periods. It is a lot like we, ordinary humans, would use a horse on land. As we all know, dogs are considered to be man’s best friend.

Marvel

Marvel Comics Black Panther

There was a time when Marvel, DC’s biggest competitor, was going through a financial crunch and they were about to sell themselves. However, that is when the Marvel Cinematic Universe came to their rescue. Comics being enacted in live action by Hollywood stars became the key to their revival. Here is a Marvel book that lovers of animals are bound to like.

Black Panther #6 (1998)

This is one of the best comic strips about animals. T’Challa is the prince of the African kingdom of Wakanda, the only African country that has never been conquered by any external forces since its very formation. T’Challa’s family bears the legacy of the warrior, Black Panther. The tradition of serving the Kingdom as Black Panther has been passed down in the royal family from one generation to the next. Wakanda is rich with deposits of Vibranium, the strongest as well as the rarest metal on Earth. Foreign powers are always in pursuit of it. So, Wakanda is always at grave risk of infiltration. It is Black Panther’s responsibility to keep the citizens of the kingdom safe and sound at all times.

In this issue of the franchise, T’Challa battles Kraven, a villainous hunter. Kraven has been hired to assassinate Black Panther during his stay in New York. He relishes the job as he looks down upon T’Challa as a literal panther he is trying to hunt down. It gives us a glimpse of Kraven’s sadistic disdain towards wild animals. It shows how hunters torment innocent animals as a sport. This is reflected through the helplessness that T’Challa feels while being chased. Ultimately, T’Challa stands up to Kraven and gives him a befitting reply. It is one of Christopher Priest’s best creations. This franchise also features other superheroes with animal powers.
