How Many Red X…
…Are There Anyway?
We open with a story focusing on Ragman type legacy character Stitch…
…whose mysticism even catches Doctor Fate’s attention.
Then a story of Beast Boy and Raven…
…from work to play.
Then a story about super-powered Matt Price…
…looking for belonging with a classmate’s family.
We end on a strong story…
…focusing on Red X and…
…his attempt to end injustice and…
…exploitation of minors.
It is an interesting between Red X and a child victim…
…who may be the next Red X…
…in Teen Titans Academy in this prelude scene to the series’ debut issue!
That last story teases Teen Titans Academy #5 which lands in stores on July 27 / 28, 2021.
Anyhow, the book also has several “yearbook” type pin-ups.
The Pulse:
The sad thing is that many of the newer characters in TTA are not that appealing for me beyond Red X. That plagues the series and this one-shot, but the Red X story is compelling. Art was a mixed bag, but serviceable. I like the attempts to make this feel like a yearbook. 7 out of 10.
