Reign Of X Is Here and Shakes Everything Up?!

Plus Over 40 Variant Covers!

The preceding two covers are the front and back of the main cover by Pepe Larraz that look like the below together.

A sampling of the variant covers are below and total over 40 if you factor are the textless versions of the below. The first variant covers make up this piece of art together. Following it are more variants.

The opening of the book includes a storyline catch-up, dramatis personae and creators credits page all rolled in one.

Then we see a wealthy businessman who had invested his money and others to be the first to populate Mars gutted by the fact the mutants of Arakko in the blink of an eye have taken over the planet.

We then pivot to downtown New York City where the X-Men of Krakoa have a big presence…

…via a new rather complex new HQ.

Later a giant robotic alien lands and attacked Rogue…

…which brings the rest of the X-Men.

They pool their powers to create a giant mech…

…to fight fire with fire as the saying goes.

They’re ultimately successful and…

…explore the alien’s origins.

Elsewhere, on Gameworld it looks like aliens of all kinds…

…are using Earth as part of some kind of cosmic bet as the High Evolutionary is teased.

The book ends with…

…a mutant reborn, but…

…dying as someone explores how the mutants can resurrect from the dead.

The Pulse:

A rather compelling, multi-faceted over-sized issue. Action, mystery, drama and more. Solid art. A fun read. 8 out of 10.
