DC Comics and Superman: Son Of Kal-El #2 Spoilers and Review follows.

WildCATS Rebirth Continues Plus…

…A New Costume and…

…Ally For Jon Kent!

It seems there is a viral sensation online aka The Truth where Jon Kent learns about a humanitarian crisis on the island nation of Gamorra.

He is also going to try to be incognito as Finn Conners…

…at college.

However, a normal life eludes Jon Kent very quickly.

The bad guys subdued and his cover blown, Jon has a heart-to-heart with his dad that includes a new costume, a new mission and access to solitude.

Later, Jon Kent gets involved in the Gamorran humanitarian tragedy…

…rescuing a boat of refugees and taking them to Metropolis in the U.S.

He also won’t let them be handcuffed as he feels they need the other “h” word as in help.

Later, we learn that The Truth was a buddy Jon just met at college when his over was blown; an ally it would seem.

The book ends with the threat of Gamorra’s president Henry Bendix and the promise of consequences for Jon’s intervention.

Henry Bendix is a long-standing WildStorm character who has also been called Weatherman One.

Gamorra was also an established outlaw nation in WildStorm lore too.

The Pulse:

I see where writer Tom Taylor wants to take the character. The first issues have felt more relevant in today’s real world geopolitical context. Art was solid too. 8 out of 10.
