Spoilers

Marvel Comics and Cable Reloaded #1 Spoilers and Review follows.

An Agent Of S.W.O.R.D…

…Grappling With…

…Annihilation!

Well, old man Cable is back…

…as an Agent of S.W.O.R.D. like his teen self was.

He’s also teaming with Rocket Raccoon, who he deeply respects, on a…

…mission during the Annihilation event.

He needs a new arm after planetfall and plants a seed to open a Krakoan gat so the…

…the rest of his team, an X-Force if you will, can join him.

They dispatch the aliens of Breakworld after they attack only to later confront a giant mech…

…that they take down and…

…convert to a big gun that…

…S.W.O.R.D. has the ammo for.

The Pulse:

Nice to see OG Cable back, but the story was so-so and the interior art was not visually pleasing. This didn’t feel relevant to the broader Annihilation event and didn’t really advance what’s next for Cable unless this steps up the post Killshot new X-Force. Solid covers though. 5.5 out of 10.
