Dick Wolf Locks Down Tuesdays With CBS and Wednesdays With NBC, But Not Thursdays Fully!

Dick Wolf has locked down Tuesdays at CBS for the 2021/22 season with The FBIs – FBI, FBI: Most Wanted and FBI International.

He continues to have a lock on Wednesdays at NBC with One Chicago – Chicago: Med, Chicago: Fire and Chicago P.D.

Despite efforts to create a full Law and Order Thursday at NBC, the new series Law and Order: For the Defense was cancelled before it began leaving only two Law and Order shows for Thursdays – Law and Order: Special Victims Unit and Law and Order: Organized Crime.

Law and Order: For the Defense may not have aired, but the Law and Order franchise has seen several shows part of its universe.

While the Chicago series have been really successful, it did have one series that only last one season: Chicago Justice in 2017.

The Chicago and Law & Order series are part of the same universe, likely being on the same network, while the FBIs appear apart.

While CBS still has a franchise with three shows they are not all on the same night nor run by Dick Wolf.

Using the Law and Order thinking, CBS has NCIS Mondays as two its NCIS shows air then – NCIS and the new NCIS: Hawaii.

NCIS: Los Angeles airs on Sundays beginning October 10, 2021.

Does any producer or franchises dominate Fridays for any network so we can call it “[Insert Name Here] Fridays”?
