Image Comics and Ordinary Gods #4 Spoilers and Review follows.

Plot Thickens As…

…Mythology Enriches!

We open with a creators credits page.

Also, while not in the book, am sharing two earlier cast concept art pages.

It helps me keep track on who’s who, but the below rendering is not material for this issue.

Then our hero Christopher Becker is in France with his two allies / confidantes, Sarea and Dominic…

…looking for the Trickster on their journey to reunite the five immortals.

They seemingly track him down, but…

…need proof and…

…to see what his human host is like which they do get to learn.

They think finding him will be difficult not realizing they just passed him.

In fact the Trickster comes to them by attempting to pick Christopher’s pocket…

…causing the Trickster aka Francois to be awakened to his immortal heritage.

He leaves the wallet and runs back into the arms of his lover to tell him what happened…

…only to be attacked as his partner is (an alien?) steward whose job it is to kill their awakened immortal subject.

Francois escapes…

…as Christopher braces for what’s next.

Christopher’s sister Bianca, his steward, is on the run in the issue and being hunted by a peer steward who wants to kill her.

Next up is Ordinary Gods #5 billed as being in stores on November 10, 2021.

The Pulse:

Another action-packed and intrigue-laden issue. Some parts still difficult to follow in this worlds building and new myth making; need to read parts a few times. Decent art. Entertaining read. 7 out of 10.
