Marvel Comics and S.W.O.R.D. #9 Spoilers and Review follows.
Orchis Eats Up Alpha Flight…
…As A Mole Revealed and…
…An Intergalactic…
…Bloodbath Ensues!
The book includes a storyline catch-up, dramatis personae and creators credits page.
Looks like one-time Avengers liaison Henry Gyrich, now head of Orchis, has a major issue with mutants taking over Mars, making it habitable and renaming it Arakko.
Looks like Alpha Flight’s Guardian is on board for whatever Orchis’ plans are.
The alien celebration on Arakko that Orchis is monitoring is the Shi’ar Empire’s formal meeting with government of Arakko; it’s head is Storm.
Well, the Lethal Legion want this meeting and celebration to end.
The book even includes a who’s who type page explaining who this iteration of the Lethal Legion is.
They’re pretty deadly and either kill or subdue much of the once formidable Imperial Guard leaving Storm to try to set things right.
Orchis is watching this unfold and…
…leverages their S.W.O.R.D. mole for what’s next in Orchis’ plans.
The Pulse:
Another intriguing issue with solid characterization and action with so-so art. Each issue feels epic in recent months. 7.5 out of 10.
