Devil’s Reign – It’s wild to me that Chip Zdarsky, who I remember as the guy who trolled Fan Expo by setting up his own convention on the sidewalk across the street, and who became famous for drawing Sex Criminals is now taking the reigns of Marvel’s tentpole event for the winter. His Daredevil run, which was great, ended last week, and this event grows out of that storyline, but expands to involve most of the New York-based heroes. It looks like it will be pretty good.

Star Wars: Crimson Reign – This is the week for books with ‘reign’ in their title, it seems. I liked the War of the Bounty Hunters event, but what stuck with me most from it was an interest in Q’ira and the return of Crimson Dawn. I think it’s cool that this new miniseries will pick up from where the last one left off, and will further explore this character. It feels like WotBH injected some new energy into the Star Wars line, so I’m down for it.

This week I’m also looking forward to reading Crossover, Hellions, Inferno, Post Americana, Star Wars, Suicide Squad, Superman: Son of Kal-El 2021 Annual, The Swamp Thing, Two Moons, and What’s the Furthest Place From Here?

There are two titles I’m thinking about picking up:

Batman – Joshua Williamson has been doing an amazing job on Robin, so I assume he might be just as good with Batman. I’ll give it a good look on the stands to see if I feel it.

One Star Squadron – Mark Russell is a proven entity for amusing comics, and I’m excited to see some of the characters assembled here, like Red Tornado and Firehawk. I’m probably going to get this…

So, what did you find intriguing from the week that was?
