Marvel Comics and X-Men: Trial Of Magneto #5 Spoilers and Review follows.

Finale Unmasks Murder…

…Euthanasia…

…Hoax Or…

…Something Else?!

Over a handful of pages…

…we learn that the Toad attempted to kill the Scarlet Witch…

…over her influence over Magneto and the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants.

The Toad is exiled and still affirms he did it all for Magneto.

The Avengers have mixed views on exile, but agree they won’t impose their views on Krakoa.

The Scarlet Witch stays on the island instead of head back to with the Avengers; we also get flashbacks…

…that Scarlet Witch pretended to kill herself to allow her to bestow a gift to mutandom.

Magneto helped her in this ruse; so is Toad guilty or not?

The upshot is that all mutants can be resurrected by the Five; there are no longer any lost mutants that Cerebro doesn’t remember.

The Pulse:

A beautifully rendered issue art-wise, but the story was convoluted.  4.5 out of 10.
