Superman has recovered from the devastating attack against him. After the life-changing events of issue #5, Jon Kent and his new ally Jay Nakamura are ready to strike back. They are on a collision course with the type of power that is used to swatting problems out of the way. But Superman is not so easily swatted.

We open with the destruction of the Gamorra Corps and then…

…go backwards to discover how it all happened.

That included Superman visiting his boyfriend’s seafaring HQ and his Truth coalition which includes members of the Revolutionaries era of the Suicide Squad; the boys go incognito on the ship wearing masks.

We then learn that a Kaiju is heading to Metropolis and…

…Gamorra’s tyrant president Henry Bendix gets Lex Luthor’s permission to his transporter technology.

Looks like the Gamorra Corps will be mobilized against the Kaiju.

Aquaman joins the effort and we learn that the sea beast has been displaced due to global warming; while Superman and Aquaman work to create cooler conditions for the beast to return to The Deep…

…the Gamorra Corps attack it needlessly as the Boys 2 Men had it handled.

The Gamorra Corps are no match for the sea beast which is fine by their benefactor Henry Bendix?!

The Pulse:

Another though-provoking issue with action to boot. The art was not as good this issue, but the issue raises interesting questions even of Lex Luthor. I remain intrigued. 7 out of 10.
