ON SALE 1/25/22Dane, a.k.a. Nevermore, came to the academy to become a hero, but circumstance and fate are leading him down a much darker path. To understand their future, the Titans must look into the complicated past of their most mysterious student—and unearth truths that may leave them with an impossible choice.
The book opens with Red X vs. all the Titans at the Academy over the life of Nevermore.
We then get a flashback over two pages…
…revealing more of Red X’s motivations for infiltrating the Titans Academy.
Back in the present day, Red X demonstrates enormous power.
Looks like the Titans use it to…
…heal the Rock of Eternity?!
The book ends with Shazam and young Black Adam taking Nevermore elsewhere…
…as readers learn that Shazam was once Captain Marvel in the Infinite Frontier era.
This all leads to the further destruction of Titans Academy Tower or something.
The Pulse:
This a very confusing story on plot, but it’s always nice to see Red X, Black, Shazam and the Wally West Flash in any book. The art was good, but the story was quite impenetrable. 4 out of 10.
