10 books this week. Sad to see Valiant has fallen so low on my pull due to (1) new ownership and (2) pandemic. They aren’t putting out a lot of books and what they are are not in my wheelhouse. They are hyping a big 2022 for Valiant so we’ll see. Anyhow. my picks for the week are below.

Batman #120
Detective Comics #1051
Fantastic Four Reckoning War Alpha #1
Geiger 80 Page Giant #1
Justice League Incarnate #4
Nocterra #7
Official Image Timeline #0
Suicide Squad #12
World of Krypton #3
X-Men Legends #11

I also agree with you about the collapse of Valiant. They were doing so well, and now I have no real interest in anything they put out.

Calling 2022 the Year of Valiant is a big boast. I’ll wait till around FCBD to see what their plans on to deliver on that boast.

So my LCS has had a devil of a time getting all their Marvel books lately. I don’t know if it’s the snowstorm, shipping issues, Covid, or some combination of the three, but this is what I’m expecting to get this week, and I’m hopeful that all the books I’ve missed are coming in too.

New Masters – This new sci-fi book made by African creators looked interesting in Previews, but I don’t remember why. I’m looking forward to finding out what appealed to me.

X-Cellent – I enjoyed the Peter Milligan/Michael Allred X-Force/X-Statix run, so I’m curious to see if they can recapture the specialness of that series with this one. I worry that it’s just going to be a nostalgia read, but who knows?

I’m also looking forward to new issues of Alien, Batman, Crossover, Daredevil: Woman Without Fear, Echolands, Newburn, One-Star Squadron, Scumbag, Star Wars: Crimson Dawn, Suicide Squad, and X Lives of Wolverine.

So, what did you find intriguing from the week that was?
