The reign of king Deathstroke begins!

After the shocking truth about T.R.U.S.T. is revealed, Deathstroke finds himself the leader of a new army. Does he use that army for good or evil? Can Black Canary escape and warn the Justice League that there is a new force in the DCU?

The new head of the Secret Society of Super-Villains Deathstroke order his vassals to kill his former partner Black Canary; she fights through them and escapes and is confronted by Deathstroke himself.

Deathstroke explains he wants to do something different than good and evil as he is still motivated to change and different.

Black Canary will not join Deathstroke in his endeavor and leave him.

Some in the Secret Society are chaffing at Deathstroke leading them, but that type of dissention is not tolerated.

Black Canary meets up with the Justice League…

…to tell her what has happened with Deathstroke.

The Justice League goes to where the Society and Deathstroke were last, but they’re gone and in Zandia.

Deathstroke wants to make them better and seemingly rival the Legion of Doom, but their mission statement and purpose is not wholly clear.

The book ends with Ravager, Deathstroke’s daughter, and ReSpawn, whose identity is unknown, but who shares traits with Deathstroke and Ravager as recently revealed this week in Robin #11 (full spoilers).

The Pulse:

A fascinating turn of events in terms of Deathstroke’s new role in DC. Solid art. 8 out of 10.
