The new KURT BUSIEK era at Image begins here, as he and superstar artist CARLOS PACHECO (Fantastic Four, Avengers Forever, Final Crisis, X-Men, Superman) bring you the much-anticipated return of ARROWSMITH! It’s World War I—but a war of wizards and dragons as much as bullets and barbed wire. Young airman Fletcher Arrowsmith plunges back into the heat of war—and finds himself behind enemy lines, facing a threat that could doom the Allied Powers. The first issue in a new ARROWSMITH-universe miniseries! And don’t miss the remastered hardcover of the original series in February!

The book ends with Fletcher Arrowsmith being asked about what he knows of trolls; he tells the commanders who tell that his knowledge will do and tell him of the mission they’d like him to undertake behind enemy lines in Prussia that will require an ability to communicate with allied trolls.

He is to go undercover and send new mission orders to other undercover behind enemy lines.

He accepts and sent to Prussia; he asks his dragon Hilda, who helps him fly, to hide some of his effects…

…before he is actually captured!

The book ends with a message from the…

…creative team as well as…

…several house ads including one for a new oversized hardcover of the original six issue Arrowswmith series, from 19 years ago in 2003, that lands in stores on April 13, 2022.

(2) Arrowsmith: Behind Enemy Lines #2 Spoilers.

The title’s solicitation didn’t include much in terms of the issue’s promise to readers.

Taken prisoner by the Prussians, Fletcher seeks an ally as the Blood Emperor’s forces plan and the Black Baron strikes.

For most of the issue Fletcher Arrowsmith is a POW with the issue ending on the revelation of the Blood Baron being more than an aerialfighter with his own dragon; he’s actually an unscrupulous dragon too?!

Before he can avenge his fellow POW, Arrowsmith is stopped from acting by an undercover troll; well he may be able to fulfill his mission after all!

Glad that the creative team has revisited this series.
