The Scarecrow stalks The Tower! Dr. Jonathan Crane, who recently terrorized Gotham City during “Fear State,” is but one of many villainous inhabitants of Arkham Tower jockeying for position as leader of the hostage situation unfolding before everyone’s eyes. But with security down, Huntress, Nightwing, and Harley Quinn are no longer quite so outnumbered…here come Batwoman, the Batgirls, and Tim Drake to the rescue! Can the Bat-Family save the innocent civilians caught in the crossfire? And that’s not the only help arriving on the scene… The boy kicks his plan into gear in “House of Gotham” part 10! On a mission to kill the source of his trauma, the boy’s aim squares solely on The Joker and the Batman…two sides of the same coin that have, in his mind, caused him and the city nothing but pain. Plus: Batgirl, a villainous run-in, and another step toward disaster for Jim Gordon!

While the Psycho-Pirate explains what he did for Dr. Wear to his hostage, Mayor Nakano’s wife, the Scarecrow makes his presence felt…

…as Huntress finally defeats Mr. Freeze and…

…Harley Quinn arrives and frees Dr. Meridian.

She even brings down Arkham Tower’s security system to allow the Batman less Bat Family to enter!

That includes Tim Drake whose a Red Robin no more, but just “a” Robin alongside Damian Wayne.

The Scarecrow calls the Mayor with no demands yet…

…beyond throwing Nightwing to his death, but a returning Batman, alongside Batwoman, save him.

The book ends on a seeming death! Is it Mayor Nakano’s wife, the Psycho-Pirate or a swerve?

The back-up features its redheaded kid a kid no longer toe-to-toe with the Batman.

The Pulse:

Business picked up yet again as we race towards this storyline’s conclusion. More villains, more action, more intrigue. The back-up features Batman being confronted by the boy he met earlier in his life, but he’s a jaded man now. An entertaining issue with ok art on both stories. 7.5 of 10.
