The book opens with former Amazon Queen Hippolyta, mother of Diana aka Wonder Woman, returning from her tenure with the Justice League and telling the current Queen of the Amazons of Themyscira, Nubia, that she should remain Queen as their people need her.
Nubia is from the Bana-Mighdall Amazon tribe who is causing her headaches.
Yara Flor’s Esquecida Amazon Tribe join the story mid-story and it seems that both former Wonder Girls, Donna Troy and Cassie Sandsmark, have joined here.
