NJPW Lonestar Shoutout 2022 Results Including Killer Kross Vs. Minoru Suzuki!

WZ reports.

New Japan Pro Wrestling invaded The Lone Star State on Friday. NJPW Lonestar Shootout was broadcast live from WrestleCon in Dallas, and was headlined by Tomohiro Ishii battling the returning Chris Dickinson.

Returning from injury, Dickinson brought a war to the Stone Pitbull, but fell to a Vertical Drop Brainbuster from the former-NEVER Openweight Champion. After the match, Ishii exchanged words with Minoru Suzuki. The two will wrestle in Chicago on April 16th.

Suzuki was coming off a slightly easier victory. The leader of Suzuki-gun wrestled former-NXT Champion Killer Kross, in a match that saw Kross underestimate Suzuki’s strength. Suzuki drilled Kross into the mat with the Gotch Piledriver, but not before calling the former-WWE Superstar a “Young Boy.”

Speaking of Young Boys, former-Young Lion Ren Narita opened the show with a huge win over Junior Heavyweight legend Rocky Romero. His dojo comrade Yuya Uemura also picked up a win, teaming with LA Dojo’s Karl Fredericks & Clark Connors, as well as CMLL legend Mascara Dorado.

The true standout of the show was “Speedball” Mike Bailey throwing his hat into the ring for “Switchblade” Jay White’s US of Jay Open Challenge. Bringing some serious fire to King Switch, Bailey seemingly had a counter for every move, but alas was unable to get the job done.

During the show Jon Moxley showed up and accepted Will Ospreay’s challenge. The two men will face off at Windy City Riot in Chicago.

Minoru Suzuki also appear on ROH Supercard of Honor 2022 where he competed for and won an ROH Championship with full results here.
