Before we get to the meat of the issue there are several variant covers for the issue below in addition to the Spoiler Variant cover I opened this piece with above.

The book also, naturally, has a main cover.

The promise of the issue can be gleaned from its solicitation.

“SMASHTRONAUT” Part 6 of 6!

The first arc of Donny Cates and Ryan Ottley’s mind-blowing Hulk saga reaches its epic climax as Bruce Banner’s control over Starship Hulk slips…and something much worse takes the wheel…

32 PGS./Rated T+ …$3.99

The book opens immediately with the revelation of Starship Hulk STAGE NINE: UNIVERSAL CONSTANTS.

A stage where Galactus is a Hulk!

While it provides “real” power was surprised that the final powerl love was depicted as STAGE TEN: Hypothetical?!

We then see the Betty Ross persona in Bruce Banner’s “head” or starship ponder with some many Hulks out there…

…the Hulk needs his own Hulk…

…enter Titan!

It’s a Hulk that can hurt the actual Hulk.

Well, to combat “Betty”, Bruce allows the Hulk to enter Starship Hulk?!

A battle ensues…

…leaving Hulk victorious and Betty and Titan nowhere to be seen.

The Hulk and Banner reconcile as in the real world a major payload is being unleashed threatening everyone.

Starship Hulk is being repaired as Banner returns to it just in time…

…to take command again and…

…deal with the payload threat.

He does so and is transported out of harm’s away only to be confronted by…

…Thor’s mighty mallet Mjolnir!

Next up is the cross-over between the Hulk and Thor series in Banner of War.

The Banner of Hulk checklist is here with the event concluding in June 2022.

The Pulse:

An exhilarating issue from front to back. The Starship Hulk concept is intriguing and baffling at the same time, but always entertaining. Considering how big a deal Marvel made of Titan in its promotional material, I was surprised he/it came and went rather quickly in the issue. Perhaps building to a Titan centric arc? Wanting readers to clamor for more of him/it? Nonetheless, exceptional art throughout. 8.5 out of 10.
