The Rose is making a play for NYC’s Underwold now that his father the Kingpin seemingly retired at the end of the recent Devil’s Reign event (full spoilers here) and has a some muscle to help him in the former of the irradiated Digger.

Who remembers the “green door” of Immortal Hulk lore that he seemingly walked through to the land of the living.

While Tombstone seems to have control over much of NYC he is willing to meet with the Rose later at a designated space.

Here’s the classic Marvel Handbook who’s who type bio for the Rose.

As noted he is a man who is Wilson Fisk aka the Kingpin’s son Richard Fisk.

As a bit of an aside we have a few pages where Robbie Robertson’s son Randy is asking Tombstone for the hand of his daughter Janice Lincoln aka the Beetle in marriage.

It is a different side of Tombstone who shows humor as well as realism about his daughter as well seems to take a shine or liking to Randy.

Later, after the meal with Randy, and back in his abode, after speaking with fellow Underworld don Hammerhead, Tombstone notices something is amiss.

Sure enough his home is blown up while’s he’s inside of it at the hands of Digger for the Rose.

Tombstone survives, is angry, and surprisingly seeks out Peter Parker who is stalking Mary Jane Watson’s apartment at the time.

He tells Peter Parker, who is acting rather uncharacteristically belligerent, that he needs him to send a message to Spider-Man who he knows that Peter knows.

Tombstone blames Spider-Man for all that is happening and what will happen including presumably a body count before he order Peter out of his car, but then provide a nicely worded threat as a good-bye.

More to come obviously on this subplot.
