The Speed Force on lockdown! Some of the Rogues are plotting something big inside Iron Heights, and the Flash goes inside to root out the plot. Meanwhile, Wallace figures out his future, and Linda tries to find out if she really has powers…

Wally West (the Flash) and Wallace West (Kid Flash) have returned Girder to Iron Heights Penitentiary where they get Warden Gregory Wolfe’s thanks.

However, there is more going on here as it seems as Wolfe has a Task Force X / Suicide Squad type arrangement with prisoners like Girder; to the mission Wolfe asks for, which in this case appears nefarious in nature, and see your sentence reduced.

Girder threatens exposing Wolfe, but he’ll not tolerate that as…

…he has Mayoral ambitions that the Wallys find out about as they break into Iron Heights as they feel something is up with Gregory Wolfe.

In fact, they see what Wolfe has done to Girder despite them not knowing how or why it came about.

The Flashes escape Iron Heights, using their Stealth Suits, but Warden Wolfe knows they were there and doesn’t fear their suspicion at all.

The book ends on family and a tease of the next issue which begins the Darl Crisis tie-in tale titled the Search for Barry Allen.

The Pulse:

A fun issue on story and art. It sets up more to come with simmering villain Gregory Wolfe as well as allows readers to get in the heads of the Wallys. An entertaining read. 7 out of 10.
