Following the events of the Abyss story arc, Batman has now tasked Ghost-Maker to finance and lead Batman Inc.! First order of business for the new management? Clean up a huge mess Luthor created in Chechnya…but is this new group ready to face fearsome new threat the Gray Wolf? And prepare yourself for the evolution of Clownhunter!
Batman has asked Ghost-Maker to lead Batman Incorporated.
While initially reluctant, Ghost-Make decided to test the various Batman Inc. members.
While we found them lacking, he is ready to lead as Batman doesn’t have the resources or time to do so.
We then get a Batman Inc. roll call for readers so they know who’s who, but it’s done in a way that the reflect Ghost-Make’s new “local” and “international” Batman Incorporated affiliations.
Not everyone is pleased with their slots and some even leave the team.
We end the first part of the story checking in on Clownhunter, his new look, and his big shoulder chip.
Then, the newly reconstituted Batman Inc. have a mission.
They are ready to free the captives, but…
…they’re guarded by Gray Wolf.
However, all is not as it seems.
The people are captives to protect other from them!
Gray Wolf helps Ghost-Maker inoculate the inmates.
The story ends with Ghost-Maker offering Gray Wolf a spot on Batman Inc.
Looks like he’s accepted.
Writer Ed Brisson and artist John Timms will launch a new series with Batman Incorporated #1 in October 2022.
An action-packed issue with intrigue, drama and adventure. Solid art. I am intrigued by the new series.
