Wakanda Forever

…Nevermore?!

The promise of the issue can be derived from its solicit.

AVENGERS FOREVER #6
JASON AARON (W) • JIM TOWE (A) • COVER BY AARON KUDER
SKRULL VARIANT COVER BY Phil Noto

INTRODUCING THE INVINCIBLE VIBRANIUM MAN!

On an alternate Earth where Wakanda has been crushed from existence and where the Black Panther is a forgotten legend, one man known as T’Challa will forge a new legacy for himself and perhaps even hope for a planet caught in the grips of the god-slaughtering King Killmonger.

32 PGS./Rated T+ …$3.99

The book opens with the revelation that King Killmonger of the Multiversal Masters of Evil had a role in the origin of the Vibranium Man teased on the cover.

A Vibranium Man whose origin is closer to DC Comics’ Superman’s than Iron Man’s.

Although, before he became the Vibranium Man he was the Sky Spider, so a blend of Iron Man and the Amazing Spider-Man, until King Killmonger’s wrath forced him to evolve again.

His next evolution was the teased Vibranium Man, who shares more similarities with Valiant’s X-O Manowar than Iron Man, who is on the hunt for Killmonger.

They battled, but King Killmonger gets the upper hand hurling Vibranium Man into a sun.

The book ends with the current trio of the Avengers Forever team aka the Multiversal Avengers…

…pulling him out of the sun revealing his next evolution into the Star Panther.

The Black Panther II film titled Wakanda Forever hits North American theaters on November 11, 2022 and is the 30th Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) to be released.

The Pulse:

Not what I expected when I saw this issue solicited, but that’s a good thing. Enjoyed reading this T’Challa’s journey and evolution(s). Solid art. Looks like the first 12 months of the Avengers Forever series will be establishing the Multiversal Avengers team and wanting readers to care for them. An entertaining issue. 7.5 out of 10.
