Crisis on Infinite Earths. Infinite Crisis. Final Crisis.

And now…Dark Crisis!

The epic event years in the making is finally here! Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, and the rest of the Justice League are dead. The remaining heroes are left to protect the world from an onslaught of violent attacks by DC’s greatest villains! Can the legacy heroes step out of the shadows of the classic heroes to form a new Justice League? And will that be enough to stop a darkness greater than anything they’ve ever faced from destroying everything?

Don’t miss out on the first issue of the blockbuster event of the summer!

An injured Black Adam explains to a returning Hal Jordan Green Lantern what happened to the Justice League.

It gets readers caught up on what’s transpired as well.

Then, Jon Kent Superman looks to create his own Justice League to fill the void of the originals.

It won’t have Brazil’s Wonder Woman in the Yara Flor Wonder Girl nor New York City’s Batman Tim Jace Fox.

A mix of super-heroes and anti-heroes say yes and no.

The new Justice League gets unveiled in this issue and Black Adam is not amused.

Looks like Deathstroke and his Secret Society of Super-Villains aka Deathstroke Incorporated target the Teen Titans Academy as Jon Kent Superman is sulking over Black Adam’s disappointment in the new Justice League.

The Titans Tower is under siege.

Did Deathstroke really just kill Beast Boy and one-time Changeling Garfield Logan?!

The issue ends on the revelation of Pariah’s plan for Dark Crisis fueled by the Great Darkness!

This week also saw Flashpoint Beyond #2 (of 6) released with a major death impacting Dark Crisis.

Dark Crisis #2 lands in stores on July 5, 2022.

The Pulse:

A lot of set-up in this issue, but we’re now off at the races. Solid action and intrigue. A bit gory at moments, but that was deliberate and for impact. Solid art. I’m curious about what’s next. 7.5 out of 10.
