Marvel Comics Spoilers For Avengers #57, X-Men #12, Sabretooth #5, X-Men Red #4 and Immortal X-Men #3!

Avengers #57 Spoilers follows.

AVENGERS #57
JASON AARON (W) • JAVIER GARRÓN (A/C) • Hellfire Gala Variant COVER by Carmen Carnero

MEET HISTORY’S MIGHTIEST HEROES!

The Avengers are lost in time, and if they’re going to stop Mephisto’s grand plan, they’ll need help from some of history’s greatest heroes, whose stories have never been told. Like the mystical man of war, Sgt. Szardos, Soldier Supreme of World War II, and his squadron of supernatural grunts, the Secret Invaders.

32 PGS./Rated T+ …$3.99

Looks like the Secret Invaders of 1943, an earlier incarnation of the Avengers, are dealing with Mephisto.

It is a rather gory engagement where Mephisto hopes from body to body to attempt to secure the classic Doctor Strange amulet.

The modern-day Avengers, seemingly trapped in time, put their fingers on the scale.

They covertly help with foiling Mephisto.

In some cases, more covertly than others.

However, there is still work for the Secret Invaders.

A rather wild dogfight in the sky.

As well as one on the ground.

After Mephisto is defeated the rest of the team returns.

An interesting looking Secret Invaders to be sure.

X-Men #12 Spoilers follows.

X-MEN #12
GERRY DUGGAN (W) • PEPE LARRAZ (A/C)
Trading Card Variant by RUSSELL DAUTERMAN • Hellfire Gala Variant COVER by InHyuk Lee

THE GRAND CLIMAX!

On the eve of the Hellfire Gala, threats have closed in on the X-Men from all sides. The secret machinations of Doctor Stasis, the terror of Gameworld, even the threat of the X-Men’s own secrets getting out…it’s all led to this!

32 PGS./Rated T+ …$3.99

The secret of mutant immortality as been leaked to the media by the X-Men.

Ben Ulrich gets the scoop.

A seismic shift is experienced across the globe with this news.

It allows Cyclops to be himself and no longer masquerade as Captain Krakoa.

Battles are still waged by the X-Men.

However, they are now revered instead of feared.

The book ends with Dr. Stasis, revealed as a Mister Sinister (clone?) still scheming.

Sabretooth #5 Spoilers follows.

SABRETOOTH #5 (OF 5)
VICTOR LAVALLE (W) • LEONARD KIRK (A)
Cover by RYAN STEGMAN
variant cover by Peach Momoko
variant cover by Maria Wolf

ALL THINGS MUST END…

…but how? Sabretooth has changed Krakoa but has Krakoa changed him? No one gets away clean in this story. And maybe there are fates even worse than the Pit.

32 PGS./Parental Advisory …$3.99

The end of this mini-series provides an interesting perspective on Professor X Charles Xavier.

It also sets up Sabretooth’s next adventure.

A rumored new series featuring a new Exiles team.

It is rumored to be called Sabretooth and the Exiles.

X-Men Red #4 Spoilers follows.

X-MEN RED #4
AL EWING (W) • Juann Cabal, Andrés Genolet & more (A) • Cover by RUSSELL DAUTERMAN
Arakko Variant COVER by TAURIN CLARKE • Variant Cover by STEPHANIE HANS
Hellfire Gala Variant COVER by Jen Bartel

THE MARTIAN WAY OF DEATH!

Recent revelations threaten to profoundly alter the Destiny of X – and Arakko isn’t immune from the fallout! With the clock ticking down to interstellar war, STORM faces a Galactic Illuminati… MAGNETO attends a meeting of his own that might decide both their fates…and ROBERTO DA COSTA ponders a recent return from the grave alongside the strangest guest star of all!

32 PGS./Rated T+ …$3.99

The meaning of death is also discussed in X-Men Red.

As is its flipside life.

Immortal life.

This becomes pertinent due to the death of Empress Xandra Neramani the daughter of Charles Xavier and Lilandra Neramani.

Magneto is willing to offer immortality to the mutants of Arakko on the planet formerly known as Mars.

Just in a different scale than the immortality offered to the mutants of Krakoa on Earth.

Well, Storm decides to bring Xandra back to life.

Which also sets off another string of dialogue about what was the point of their heated discussion on death and life if Storm was going to do what she wanted anyway.

Arakko doesn’t want immortality and Magneto concurs.

We goes farther to say he and Storm will stand with Arakko and not be subject to the Resurrection Protocol.

So, they fave finite lives again… for now.

Immortal X-Men #3 Spoilers follows.
