The book opens with a dramatis personae so readers can keep track of who’s who and what’s who’s what.
Multiversal Dark Phoenix appears to kill Old Man Phoenix chalking one up for the bad guys.
However, he shows up later to take on the Council of Red.
He joins the Multiversal Thor Corps who leverage, quite literally, their thunder hammers Mjolnirs!
Good guys seem to win this round.
However, Doom Supreme strikes with the Living Planet of Doom!
Now, Doom Supreme and a Council Legion of Doom strike.
Old Man Phoenix may not be enough to turn the tide.
Enter: Avenger Prime.
Avenger Prime is revealed to be a Sorcerer Supreme Loki who does appear strange.

An anticipated cliffhanger reveal for Avenger Prime, but still intrigued as this Avengers Assemble event continues. Awesome to see the barrage of Mjolnirs too. Impactful action to end a book rendered just ok. 6.5 out of 10.
