WWE Royal Rumble 2023 Spoilers Sees Two Superstars Return To WWE!
Plus Both Royal Rumble Winners Pick Their Wrestlemania 39 Championship Opponents!
While there were notable returns – of superstars / wrestlers who have been contracted with the company for some time – in both WWE Royal Rumble matches, we also saw some returns to WWE after previous releases.
The Women’s Royal Rumble featured some surprises including the return of Asuka, the visit by Michelle McCool and the return to the roster of Chelsea Green.
Green returns and was entrant 20.
Green also set the record for fastest elimination at a Royal Rumble with Rhea Ripley tossing her out in under 5 seconds of her entering the ring.
The other notable return was Nia Jax.
Jax was the final entrant at number 30.
She was immdiately swarmed by the remaining competitors before she had a feat of strength in response.
Jax was eliminated shortly thereafter by all the competitors.
The winner of the WWE Women’s Royal Rumble was Rhea Ripley who was the first entrant who won by eliminating the second entrant Liv Morgan.
On the Monday January 30, 2022 Raw, Rhea Ripley chose Smackdown Women’s Champion as her Wrestlemania 39 opponent.
The Men’s Royal Rumble 2023 winner was the American Nightmare Cody Rhodes.
He was the last entrant at number 30 and eliminated the first entrant Intercontinental Champion Gunther of Imperium.
Before that, Roman Reigns faces off against Sami Zayn at WWE Elimination Chamber after Zayn turned on the Bloodline, as seemingly did Jey Uso, after the Bloodline handcuffed and destroyed Zayn’s friend Kevin Owens after his defeat in the main event of Royal Rumble 2023.
The Raw Women’s Championship opponent will be determined at WWE Elimination Chamber 2023.
