We open with a storyline catch-up, creators’ credits and dramatis personae page.
New York City has become a Limbo Annex.
Ruled by Ben Reilly aka Chasm fka Spider-Man and Scarlet Spider.
He was stolen Madelyne Pryor’s aka Goblin Queen’s scepter and become the ruler of Limbo and calls himself King Chasm alongside his girlfriend Janine Godbe aka Hallows’ Eve.
They have erected an eerie tower in NYC to let everyone know he rules and this is Limbo now.
The Goblin Queen wants revenge on Chasm and will not have Spider-Man interfere.
Goblin Queen is a clone of X-Men’s Jean Grey and Chasm is a clone of Spider-Man.
The X-Men confront Chasm and a battle ensues including with Chasm’s Insidious Six. At the same time, Eddie Brock aka Bedlam fka Venom is on the Goblin Queen’s side and helps her against Chasm’s forces of Limbo.
Norman Osborn aka Gold Goblin fka Green Goblin and Kamala Khan aka Ms. Marvel arrive to help the heroes against Limbo.
In the midst of battle, Madelyne Pryor proves she’s still powerful even without her scepter donning her classic threads.
The demons of Limbo no longer follow Chasm and he knows he’s defeated. Against her will, he sends Hallows’ Eve away so she can be free while he makes his last stand.
Madelyne Pryor defeats Ben Reilly so they are Goblin Queen and the adjectiveless Chasm again.
They agree that Chasm is a creatur of Limbo, a lost soul, who will be punished by Limbo standards.
He is jailed with demon jailers in a new Limbo embassy in the heart of New York City that has been consented to by the U.S. government with some presuading by the Krakoan delegation of mutants who have their own embassy in the city.

Well, nothing is next for Dark Web as the event ends with this issue, but Marvel does provide a final stricken Dark Web Checklist that teases upcoming issues of other Marvel series.
The Pulse.
A satisfying end to the series, but with no Black Cat or Mary Jane Watson proves that at least one-time tie-in series was not relevant to main plot. At least Gold Goblin and Ms. Marvel popped justifying their tie-ins. I still enjoy the macabre kinship between Madelyne Pryor and Ben Reilly and the new status quor for Limbo in NYC. Decent story and solid art. 7 out of 10.
