The book opens with a creators’ credits page that also includes a storyline catch-up blurb that may be helpful for readers unfamiliar with the character.
Janine Godbe appears to still be in New York City and realizes she’s a wanted women from her Dark Web escapade.
So, she uses her mask powers to conceal her true look.
The Model Mask does the trick.
Then the Ghost Mask helps her with a robbery.
She has to take the mask off to take the loot which means she is noticed by a security guard.
So, next up is the Werewolf Mask.
We get a Hallows’ Eve as werewolf splash page that you’ll notice is used for the second print of this issue in stores in just over a month from now.
She easily subdues the guard, gouges his side in the process, but bleeding does not mean death as she doesn’t want to kill someone just doing their job.
We then meet the police detective from NYC’s Fifth Precinct who will be after Hallows’ Eve; that’s Detective Sebbens.
Looks like Beyond Corporation is back too.
It’s CEO Maxine Danger wants to know more about this Werewolf robber that is getting lots of social media and traditional media attention.
Counting her loot, Hallows’ Eve (Janine Godbe) reminiscences about her boyfriend Chasm (Ben Reilly).
He’s trapped in a Limbo prison in NYC, as seen at the end of the Dark Web event, and she vows to free him.
However, she has bigger problems as it would seem her contact with the security guard, when she was in werewolf form due to the Werewolf Mask, has turned him into a werewolf too in front of the police, Beyond Corporation and the world due to the media?!
Are all her masks this infectious or in this case is more to do with the myth of the werewolf?

The art was strong and the story was both emotional and action-packed. I was intrigued by the cliffhanger, but still think it may be too soon for a Hallows’ Eve spotlight limited series. 7 out of 10.
