In Spider-Man #10, Spider-Boy teams with the Amazing Spider-Man against classic Spidey villain Electro.
While I appreciate the nostalgia factor on super-hero or super-villain costumes, this version of Electro seems firmly in the 1960’s and feels dated in a way that the Spider-Man costume, from the same era, does not.
During the battle, Spider-Boy actual bites Electro!
However, Spider-Boy is not a vampire, but can release a paralyzing venom from his teeth, um, fangs.
Despite not causing permanent paralysis, but temporary paralysis to subdue, the Spiders don’t seem eye-to-eye leaving Bailey Briggs to leave Peter Parker.
The Gold Goblin aka Norman Osborn comes onto the scene and “cures” Spider-Man of his hyper spider-senses which the latter seems to now have mixed feelings about despite being debilitated at points in the previous over this amped up super-power.
The issue ends with the Spiders reconnecting and Spider-Man telling Spider-Boy, rather harshly yet directly, that are not and will not be partners as the next issue blurb teases a “Spider-Boy No More” evoking the title of that classic Spider-Man storyline that begins in 1967’s Amazing Spider-Man #50 and ends in ASM #52.

In this issue, we see what Spider-Boy looks unmasked.
Despite Spider-Man aka Peter Parker not remembering him, his mobile devices seems to still have pictures and whatnot of the life the life he claims to have lived.
However, it isn’t just Peter Parker that doesn’t remember him, his Aunt May Parker doesn’t either.
Interestingly, the locker he had a local center still has a lock on it that he remembers the combination for despite the locker itself being empty including stickers and a photo of Bailey Briggs’ mother.
As he’s lamenting about what’s happening, his spider-sense is triggered and he goes to help a girl from the shelter who we later learn is named Christina Xu.
A crimefighting adventure is had, Spider-Boy wins, and Bailey unmasks to Christina and he’s no longer totally alone.
