Troma has upgraded #ShakespearesShitstorm onto 4K UHD so you can see all the gross parts of The Tempest that Shakespeare wishes were in his play. Leave to Yale educated Lloyd Kaufman (The Toxic Avenger) to get dirty in the bard’s words. Also coming out is The Last Horror Film that stars Joe Spinell as a cab driver who wants Caroline Munro to star in his frightening movie. The movie was shot at the Cannes Film Festival where Spinell was worshipped as a star since he was in Rocky, The Godfather and Taxi Driver. The film is the spiritual sequel to Taxi Driver. Here’s the press release from Troma with all the details:

Troma Entertainment Unleashes
#ShakespearesShitstorm on 4K UHD
and The Last Horror Film (Tromatic Edition) on Blu-ray
in September!
9/16/25

Troma Entertainment, the longest-running independent movie studio in North America, announces the Sept 16 release of the outrageous comedy #ShakespearesShitstorm on 4K UHD and the cult slasher The Last Horror Film (Tromatic Edition) on Blu-ray.
For over a half a century, Troma has produced and distributed cinematic masterpieces such as The Toxic Avenger, Def By Temptation, Sgt. Kabukiman N.Y.P.D., Class of Nuke ‘Em High, Cannibal! The Musical, and Tromeo and Juliet. Now Troma’s founders Lloyd Kaufman and Michael Herz present a new twist on the Bard’s classic The Tempest with #ShakespearesShitstorm.
This modern adaptation speaks to our time of greed and opioids. Prospero Duke (Lloyd Kaufman) pledges revenge against his sister Antoinette (also Lloyd Kaufman) and pharmaceutical weasel Big Al (Abraham Sparrow) on a cruise ship. His plot involves feeding whales laxatives to create the titular disaster. The screen overflows with poetic dialogue and musical numbers filled with bawdy humor and bodily fluids.
The bonus features include an introduction by Lloyd Kaufman; producers and cast commentaries; several shorts; theatrical trailers; a full length behind the scenes documentary; and original songs from the movie.

The Last Horror Show (Tromatic Edition) stars Joe Spinell, the legendary character actor who appeared in Rocky, The Godfather, Cruising, Brubaker, and many other blockbusters.
Vinny (Joe Spinell) is a taxi driver with dreams of making the ultimate horror movie. He takes a break from the meter and flies across the ocean to the Cannes Film Festival to pursue his dream. His plan is to get his script into the hands of scream queen Jana Bates (Caroline Munro, The Spy Who Loved Me) and to convince her to star in his film.
If she comes on board, Vinny believes his movie will be made. He gets creative and obsessive with his pitch, including secretly filming her. At the same time, members of Jana’s entourage begin turning up dead. Is the neurotic Vinny responsible for the killings or is it all a big publicity stunt?
The bonus features include an introduction by Lloyd Kaufman; audio commentaries; interviews; Mr. Robbie – a short film by Buddy Giovinazzo; highlights from The Tromadance Film Festival; and a full episode of Kabukiman’s Cocktail Corner.
