'Will & Grace' Star Considering Move to Daytime

“Will & Grace” Emmy winner Megan Mullally might end up on daytime TV when her current prime-time job ends next year.

The actress is negotiating with NBC Universal Domestic TV Distribution to host a syndicated talk show targeted for a fall 2006 debut.

Separately, NBC confirmed Tuesday (May 3) that “Will & Grace” will return for an eighth season in 2005-06. Reports last week indicated the coming season of the show might be its last.

Should “Will & Grace” come back for a ninth year in 2006, Mullally would pull double duty on the daytime show and the sitcom, reports say. The talk-show deal would keep Mullally in the NBC Universal fold; in addition to airing on NBC, “Will & Grace” is produced by NBC Universal TV.
