– The “Best of 2004” episode of RAW drew a 2.7 rating, according to WrestlingObserver.com and Nielsen Media Research. This is typical for a year-end/holiday week special.

– Vince McMahon appeared on “Your World” last night on Fox News Channel, discussing the SD from Iraq and showing brief clips of the event. When discussing the stock, Vince said he was looking forward to a strong 2005. According to Dave Meltzer on WrestlingObserver.com: “This is the mentality that Randy Orton and John Cena will get established and become the new big drawing cards. Time will tell.”

– WWE.com’s Keith Elliot Greenberg has posted some columns on the trip to Iraq, on misconceptions, on coming under fire and on the trip in general.

– WWE.com has also posted the following update on the health of Steve “Dr. Death” Williams:

Dr. Death Steve Williams sends word to his Sooner Brother Jim Ross that he is doing great as he continues to recuperate from surgery and battle cancer. The Doctor will be spending time in Denver with his mom for the holidays. He’s felt strong enough to go skiing a couple times. After the holidays, Steve plans on heading to Hawaii for the month of January to heal up and start getting back in shape. He sends Christmas regards to all and wishes everyone a Happy New Year.
