Roger Mayweather was arrested on Sunday night in Las Vegas for strangling a woman. Roger is the uncle and trainer of Floyd Mayweather Jr.
Melissa St. Vil called 911 when Mayweather came to her apartment. Mayweather used to be her trainer but the two split ways three months earlier. When police showed up, they noticed St. Vil spitting blood and a cut atop Mayweather’s head. St. Vil also had red marks around her neck.
None of this sounds good for Roger Mayweather. It seems like Floyd Mayweather Jr needs a new trainer for his September fight with Juan Manuel Marquez. The good news is that it paves the way for Floyd Sr to return to his son’s corner just in time for 24/7 on HBO. Now that is some must-see TV.
