[TNA] Hardy, Moore, Kidman at iMPACT! Tapings

Archive

– Jeff Hardy, Billy Kidman, Shannon Moore, and Chris Kanyon (recently having announced coming out of retirement) were backstage at the iMPACT! tapings last night. Kidman is cousins with Mikey Batts, Hardy is supposedly trying to get back into TNA’s good graces now that his brother isn’t coming to the company, and Moore was also backstage at the No Surrender PPV.

– No Spike TV announcement has been made to TNA wrestlers yet, but it has been widely believed and reported on the Internet that once the final details are worked out, it will be announced that iMPACT! will be starting on Spike in October (after the WWE contract expires, and RAW moves to USA) in the Saturday Night slot currently held by Velocity. With Spike planning UFC and Howard Stern programming for Saturdays, there should be quite a bit of cross-promotion in the beginning.

– Some feel that Jarrett and other “big name” stars will be put in top slots at TNA and/or brought in for the Spike debut to give it more of a “star” aura, with thoughts of bringing Ken Shamrock, Tito Ortiz and/or Dan Severn to play off of the UFC tie-in as a possibility. Many hope that success on Saturday nights will lead to an eventual Monday night slot, or possibly specials here and there to test competition with WWE. Top free agent wrestlers that may have this star power include: Bill Goldberg, The Rock, Mick Foley, Sting, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall and the Ultimate Warrior.
